Paulo Medas Paulo Medas is Division Chief in the Asia and Pacific Department of the IMF overseeing the work on Vietnam and Micronesia as well as leading the fiscal group for Asia. Previously, he was the Division Chief of the Fiscal Policy and Surveillance Division of the IMF, where he was responsible for the production of the IMF’s Fiscal Monitor. Before that, he held various positions in the IMF's European and Western Hemisphere departments and was the IMF's Resident Representative in Brazil. His areas of research include fiscal and debt crises, fiscal rules, fiscal management of natural resources, and state-owned enterprises |
